Memorial Day Weekend

About a year ago, our wii quit working because someone (probably Meredith) decided it was better equipped to be a piggy bank and put some change in the disc slot. About a month ago, we finally had the initiative to get the shipping and techical stuff worked out to get it fixed. So a couple of days ago, we got it back. When I opened it, the console was vacuum packed in bubble wrap, and in a little plastic bag was $0.55 in change. I had hoped they'd credit that money to the repair fee, but I thought it was considerate of them to send it back :)

This weekend my brother and sister-in-law brought their girls over to my parents' house so the kids have been there pretty much since yesterday. We took the wii over and rented Just Dance Kids for them to play. Meredith danced for probably an hour nonstop. My niece Kendell, who is a stout little bruiser, loves dancing, and we love to watch her because she dances like Chris Farley, which is hilarious!

She moves fast.

Today my dad cooked out on his new smoker (the Boston Butt was a.maz.ing) and the kids played outside for most of the day. I was hoping the kids would wind down on the way home and fall asleep, but Natalie keeps saying poopy and laughing, and Meredith keeps telling her that poop isn't nice and to stop saying that. I noticed Natalie has the hiccups so I asked her about them. Meredith said, "You have the hiccups just like Ruby (from the kids show Max and Ruby)!" Natalie then started singing, "Max and Ruby, Ruby and Max (the theme song)!" she hiccuped through he song, but thankfully is no longer bothering Meredith by repeating the word 'poopy'.
