Last night was Colby's first baseball game of the season. They're only two innings long, and Colby was the last batter. He got six tries to hit the ball. The first two were foul balls. The fifth was good because it was straight down the baseline and hit third base, but the umpire called it a foul. Colby thought he was out so he went to the dugout to pout. They had to go get him out of it so he could take one more swing. He nailed it, and since he was the last batter, all the kids on base came home. We told Colby he got a home run, so his mood improved remarkably!
