I apologize. I realize it's been some time since I last posted, so I'm going to try to give an overview of the past few months, pictures included. I see that my last post was in November, so I'll start sometime around the end of November/beginning of December.

The beginning of December was rather eventful (at least for me). Every year our church has a Christmas production that is no small feat. In this production, one of my lifelong dreams was fulfilled. I was asked to play the role of Mary! For this role, I sang the Amy Grant classic, 'Breath of Heaven' with a friend as a duet. Of course I had to pretend to be 9 months pregnant, which isn't an unusual look for me, or so I was constantly reminded each time I put on my costume. According to the preacher's wife, pregnancy becomes me (thanks, Jan. I always thought I made a cute pregnant person. The affirmation was welcomed!).

For those that know me, you know I've been trying to graduate from college for some time now. In December, all the effort finally paid off, and I walked the line for the 166th graduating class of Western Kentucky University with B.A.s in both History and Psychology. It has been a very long time coming!

Christmas came and went. That's about it. Oh, much sickness went around our house during December, but I won't post pictures of that. You're welcome.

At the end of December, little Natalie celebrated her first birthday! A friend of mine made her a beautiful Strawberry Shortcake birthday cake. I'd recommend her but she's hung up her apron to take care of her new addition, but I'm honing my own skills in this art so maybe I'll make Nat's next one myself.

In January, we took our bi-annual trip to Kissimmee, Fla. with my parents to visit my sister and her family who live in Tampa. It was a chilly 50 degrees when we arrived, but the temperature warmed up to the mid-upper 70s towards the end of the week to make swimming an option for us snowbirds. We also enjoyed a trip to Sea World thanks to the gift of tickets from Mike and Teena!

Not much exciting has happened between January and June, but I have some pictures to post that are cute, so I'll just post them. Ryan and I did take a mini-vacation to Gatlinburg in April, and Ryan and I both had birthdays, but let's be realistic. People aren't looking at this blog to find out about the two of us. Since Colby's birth, Ryan and I have learned an important lesson about parenting: it's all about the kids. There are also some pictures of Colby's preschool graduation, so I'll post those, since that's was you are really after, right? Haha!!
